How often should I schedule service?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

We find most customers are happiest with weekly service.

There are several factors that go into deciding how often to have us come out to clean your yard:

  • Number of dogs

  • Size of dog(s)

  • Breed of dog(s)

  • Size of yard

  • Cost

Here’s when you may want us to visit more (or less) often:

Number of dogs

  • 1 dog: You may be able to schedule with less frequent visits

  • 2 dogs: Weekly is the most common.

  • 3+ dogs: Consider more frequent cleanups

Size of your dog(s)

Dog size matters, because bigger dogs typically produce more waste.

Though, some small dogs can surprise you. A small dog doesn’t always mean a small cleanup!

  • Small dogs (under ~25 lbs): You may be able to schedule less frequent cleanups

  • Medium dogs (~25–60 lbs): Weekly is usually the right fit.

  • Large dogs (60+ lbs): Consider twice per week

Breed of dog

Some breeds tend to produce more waste more than others, though diet, age, health, and routine all factor into the frequency of their poos.

Yard size

Yard size doesn’t change how much your dog poops, but it does change how quickly your yard feels messy.

  • Small yard: You may want more frequent service.

  • Medium yard: Weekly usually works well.

  • Large yard: You may be able to go less often.

If your yard is over 1/2 acre, an oversized yard fee may apply.

Why frequency affects price

Your dog poops the same amount either way.

So the more often we come, the less waste there is each visit, and the quicker we can get your yard fully cleaned.

That’s why more frequent service is typically more affordable per visit, and less frequent service is more expensive per visit.

If you’re not sure what frequency to pick, send us a message.

We’re happy to help recommend the right cadence based on your dogs, your yard, and how you use the space.
